Submissions

It is a policy of Visionship Books to prioritize the contents of a submission over the reputation of its author. First time authors are therefore given equal opportunities.

The submission procedure is as follows:

Step 1

Ensure that your book falls within the fields we publish

In order to avoid any unnecessary disappointment, before submitting a proposal we respectfully request that you ask yourself the following questions. If you do not answer "no" to any of the questions, we would be more than happy for you to send us your Author Questionnaire for consideration (available below).

1. Does your book aid professional or personal development?

2. If your book is a self-help manual, does it have the necessary depth to be useful to a professional?

3. If your book is a practitioner’s guide or resource book, is it sufficiently accessible to be understood by a lay reader?

4. If your book is a novel, does it have a therapuetic element.

5. Is your book largely jargon free?

Send us a completed Author Questionnaire.

Please do not send any attachments or additional notes with your Author Questionnaire.

IMPORTANT: Please return the complete Author Questionnaire as an attachment to submision@visionship.co.uk . For those using for the PDF file you will need to print out the questionnaire in order to complete it, and then scan it in order to return as an attachment.

Step 3

Visionship Books may invite you to send extracts from your book.

If Visionship Books wishes to continue the procedure, it will invite you to send three sample chapters, a table of contents and an additional questionnaire. Please do not send any unsolicited manuscripts. We do appreciate that every book will have its merits and market, and regretfully acknowledge that some very good books will slip through our fingers.

Step 4

Visionship Books will offer you one of the following three offers.

Offer 1 - Visionship Books will take on all the cost involved in editing, printing and distributing your book.

Offer 2 – Visionship Books will take on all the costs involved in taking your book to print (proof reading, copy editing, type-setting, cover design, book registration, allocation of ISBN number) and distributing (online only), but not the cost of printing. Conditions apply to printing.

Offer 3 – The author will take on all the editing and printing costs.

“Offers” are not determined solely by the quality of the book, but by a combination of other factors including marketability, market forces, current trends and the personal preferences of the editorial staff of Visionship Books. Author’s royalties vary and are determined by the type of offer, predicted sales estimated by Visionship Books, type of outlet for each book sold, edition number, input of author in promoting the book.

Visionship Books takes no responsibility for breach of copyright of any of its published Works unless such a breach is communicated to Visionship Books prior to any agreement regarding the publication of the Work.
